Man Charged with Murder After Shocking Coulsdon Stabbing
Patrick Beckley in Court Over Fatal Attack
Patrick Beckley, 31, with no fixed address, appeared at Bromley Magistrates Court on Friday, 13 November. He faces a murder charge following the death of Michael Lavery.
Multiple Charges for Beckley
Beckley is also charged with actual bodily harm and common assault against two other victims. He was previously charged with three counts of assault and one count of criminal damage.
The defendant has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at the link="linked">Old Bailey on Tuesday, 17 November.
Victim Found with Head Injuries and Stab Wounds
Michael Lavery, 59, was discovered with serious head injuries and stab wounds at a flat on Reddown Road, Coulsdon, on Friday, 16 October. Despite emergency crews’ best efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.
