Tragic Discovery at Tennis Court Drive
Officers were called to the property at around 10.30am on Thursday, April 15, over concerns for the occupant’s welfare. Entry was forced, and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem revealed she died from a head injury.
Related Incident on Norfolk Beach
On the same morning, police investigated a possible linked incident in Norfolk. A man in his 50s was found with life-threatening injuries on a beach in Hunstanton, after apparently falling from nearby cliffs. He remains in serious condition in hospital.
Ongoing Investigation and Police Appeal
Forensic teams have completed their work at the Tennis Court Drive scene, but specialist officers continue supporting the family. Detective Chief Inspector Joe Banfield of the East Midlands Special Operations Unit is leading the inquiry.
“Although an arrest has been made, our investigation continues to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the death,” Banfield said.
“I urge anyone with information who hasn’t yet spoken to police to come forward.”
