Man Charged After Woman Threatened on Canterbury High Street

Kent Police acted fast after a woman was confronted by a man demanding her belongings on Canterbury High Street last night. The incident was reported on Thursday, 25 April 2024, and an arrest followed later that day.

Edvaldo Vidal Faces Charges

The next day, officers charged 32-year-old Edvaldo Vidal, from Hovenden Close, Canterbury, with attempted robbery and possession of a Class A drug. Vidal appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court and was remanded to face Canterbury Crown Court on 27 May 2024.
