Man Stabbed in Broad Daylight on Rochester High Street
Kent Police rushed to a reported assault on Rochester’s High Street at 9pm on Thursday, 2 November 2023.
Victim Hospitalised, Then Released
Officers arrived alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service to find a man in his 30s suffering stab wounds. He was swiftly taken to a local hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
Arrest Made as Suspect Faces Attempted Murder Charge
Police quickly arrested a man known to the victim at the scene. Daniel Baker, 29, of High Street, Rochester, was charged with attempted murder and possession of a knife in a public place.
Baker appeared at Medway Magistrates Court on Saturday, 4 November, and was remanded in custody. He is set to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on 4 December 2023.
