39 Dead Found in Lorry Trailer from Belgium Ferry

Horrific Discovery

The bodies of 39 victims were found crammed inside the back of a lorry trailer. The truck had been shipped by ferry from Zeebrugge, Belgium, to Purfleet in the UK early on October 23, 2019.

Suspect Arrested

Marius Mihai Dragici, 49, was arrested in Romania in August. He is set to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Saturday. Dragici is charged with 39 counts of manslaughter and conspiracy to assist unlawful immigration.
