Man, 22, Charged with Murder After Burnt Oak Stabbing
Jalal Debella, 22, is set to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 11 May. He faces charges of murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
Tragedy in Burnt Oak
Police were called at 11:50am on Thursday, 9 May, after reports of a stabbing on Burnt Oak Broadway. Officers, London Ambulance Service, and London’s Air Ambulance rushed to the scene where a 66-year-old woman was found with knife injuries.
Victim Dies at Scene
Despite relentless efforts by emergency services, the woman sadly died at the scene. Her family have been informed.
Suspect Arrested Quickly
Jalal Debella was arrested on suspicion of murder in the Colindale area later that day. He has since been formally charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
