Kent Police launched an investigation after a victim’s bank account was hit by sneaky transactions between 15 May and 3 August 2023.
Relatives Blow Whistle on Unauthorised Purchases
The victim’s family raised the alarm, revealing several unauthorised purchases and cash withdrawals draining the account. Cops swung into action and arrested a suspect on Monday 7 August.
William Dillon Charged with Theft and Fraud
Two days later, 43-year-old William Dillon from Knightrider Street, Maidstone, was charged with theft and fraud by West Kent CID detectives.
Dillon was remanded in custody ahead of his court appearance at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 9 August.
