Fire Breaks Out at Marine Drive Premises
Kent Police rushed to a commercial building ablaze on Marine Drive shortly after 4am on Sunday, 9 October 2022.
Kent Fire and Rescue quickly arrived and managed to douse the flames before they spread further.
Man Arrested and Charged with Reckless Arson
Andrew Miller, 48, from Eaton Road, Margate, was arrested in connection with the fire. The following day, Monday 10 October, he faced a charge of arson being reckless as to whether life was endangered.
Remanded in Custody, Court Appearance Set
Miller was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
