Child Sex Predator Locked Up for 16 Years After Police Sting
David Morris, 52, was finally brought to justice after a police raid uncovered horrific child abuse crimes. Officers swooped on his Eccleston home on September 2, seizing his phone, computer, and digital devices. Morris was arrested on suspicion of possessing and distributing indecent images of children and released on conditional bail.
Couple Caught Red-Handed Trying to Flee the Country
The very next day, police received alarming tips that Morris and his partner Julie had committed sexual offences against a child and were planning a quick getaway. Merseyside Police raced to an address in Hindley where the couple was caught with £10,000 cash and their campervan loaded — ready to vanish.
Long Prison Term for Sicko Who Abused Children
On December 22, Morris was sentenced to 16 years behind bars, plus four extra years on extended licence. He was slapped with an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and must sign the sex offenders register for life.
“He pleaded guilty to a shocking list of crimes, including seven counts of rape of a child under 13, sexual activity with a child, taking indecent photos, possessing prohibited and extreme pornographic images, voyeurism and more,” police confirmed.
Justice has been served, but the impact on the victims will last a lifetime.
