Paedophile Christopher Seston Jailed for Four Years

Christopher Rowland Seston, 49, from Swindon but now living in Sandhurst, Bracknell Forest, was sentenced at Salisbury Crown Court today (16/06). He pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual activity with a child and four counts of taking degrading photos of a child.

Snared After Police Crack Down on Online Child Abuse

Seston was arrested in February 2021 after police traced obscene images uploaded online linked to his email addresses. When officers seized his devices, they uncovered even more disturbing evidence of sexual offences and indecent images involving a child.

Four-Year Prison Sentence and Sexual Harm Prevention Order

He was handed a four-year jail term along with an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order, ensuring he remains monitored on release.

“This was a disturbing case where our initial enquiries into the uploading of indecent images of children led to us uncovering the fact that Seston had also been sexually abusing a child,” said Detective Constable Jason Walsh of Wiltshire Police’s Child Internet Exploitation Team.

“I’d like to pay tribute to the young victim who bravely spoke out, helping secure this conviction. We encourage anyone affected by sexual offences to come forward. You will be believed, and we will provide the support needed, especially for children and young people.”
