Disguised Attacker Targets Victim
Milad Rouf, 25, shocked Brighton after turning up at a home in Steine Gardens disguised as a black woman of larger build. On May 20, 2021, he threw acid over the face, neck, and chest of a junior doctor he knew from medical school. The victim suffered horrific, life-changing injuries.
Police Hunt Leads to Arrest
Rouf tried hard to conceal his identity, but police tracked him down thanks to extensive CCTV investigations. He was arrested and charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent. At his court hearing on August 16, he admitted to the attack.
Heavy Sentence for Dangerous Offender
On Thursday, October 7, Lewes Crown Court sentenced Rouf to 11 years in prison plus four years on an extended licence, officially branding him a dangerous offender.
