Acid Attack Horror: Medical Student Gets 15 Years
A medical student disguised himself as a woman before launching a brutal acid attack on a junior doctor in Brighton. Milad Rouf, 25, rocked up at a Steine Gardens property on May 20, 2021, dressed to look like a larger black woman.
As the victim opened the door, Rouf doused her face, neck, and chest with acid. The attacker and victim knew each other through their medical studies. The victim was left with life-changing injuries.
Disguise Fails as Police Close In
Rouf hoped his disguise would hide him. But police traced him through extensive CCTV footage. Arrested and charged, Rouf pled guilty to causing grievous bodily harm by throwing a dangerous substance.
Harsh Sentence for Disturbing Crime
On October 7 at Lewes Crown Court, Rouf, originally from Newport Road, Roath, was sentenced to 11 years in jail. He will then serve an additional four years on extended licence as a dangerous offender.
This chilling case sends a clear message: acid attacks carry a heavy price.
