Thomas Patton Snared at Newcastle Airport After Evading Police
Thomas Patton from Pallister Park gave officers the slip for months—until October 16 last year. He was finally arrested as he landed at Newcastle Airport.
Serious Charges Laid After Court Showdown
Following his arrest, Patton was grilled by police and charged with a slew of offences: three counts of assault causing actual bodily harm (ABH), two common assaults, intimidation, and coercive controlling behaviour.
Despite denying all charges at his November court hearing, Patton was remanded in custody ahead of a trial in late March.
Convicted on All Counts: Three and a Half Years Behind Bars
The trial didn’t go Patton’s way. He was found guilty of all seven charges and handed a hefty three-and-a-half-year prison sentence this week.
On top of that, Patton faces a strict five-year restraining order, ensuring he stays away from his victims.
