Woman Dies After Lewisham Stabbing, Murder Probe Launched

A murder investigation is in full swing after a woman succumbed to stab wounds sustained in a Lewisham flat.

Disturbing Discovery on Lewisham Way

Police were called to a property on Lewisham Way, SE14, around 9pm on Wednesday, 10 June, following concerns for the occupant’s welfare. Officers arrived to find a woman in her late 50s with serious stab injuries.

She was rushed to a south London hospital by the London Ambulance Service but died on Tuesday, 16 June.

Suspect Arrested and Charged

A 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder. The following day, he was charged and appeared at bromley/" title="Bromley" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Bromley Magistrates’ Court on 12 June. He was remanded in custody ahead of an Old Bailey hearing set for 10 July.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

While the victim’s identity remains confidential to protect her family, police urge anyone with information to come forward.
