Leighton Buzzard Man Jailed for Child Sex Crimes
Simon Newham, 33, was arrested last October after police uncovered his online chats detailing disturbing fantasies about sexually assaulting children and accessing abusive material.
Guilty Pleas and Heavy Sentence
During a raid on his Leighton Buzzard home, Newham admitted to multiple offences, including making, taking, and distributing indecent images of children, sexual assault, and forcing a child to engage in sexual activity.
Yesterday, His Honour Judge Simon KC sentenced Newham to a whopping 15 years and three months behind bars. The judge branded him a “dangerous offender” and slapped on a lifetime Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
