Teacher and Partner Jailed Over Shocking Child Abuse Case
Julie Morris, 44, a safeguarding lead at a Wigan primary school, and her partner David Morris, 52, have been jailed for horrific abuse against a girl under 13. The pair filmed themselves abusing the child, sparking one of the most disturbing cases seen by prosecutors.
13 Years for School Staffer, 16 for Partner
Julie Morris, from Hindley, was sentenced to 13 years at Liverpool Crown Court. Her partner, from St Helens, admitted 34 offences at an earlier hearing and was locked up for 16 years.
Julie worked at St George’s Central C of E Primary School in Wigan, but authorities confirmed the crimes were unrelated to her job.
Chilling Court Details Reveal Disturbing Behaviour
The court heard Julie Morris was caught giggling on video during the abuse. District Crown Prosecutor Damion Lloyd described the case as “one of the most horrific” he’s faced in 20 years.
“It truly appears like both of them were equally involved. They’ve formed this horrendous sexual interest in children and acted out their most unpleasant fantasies on the victim. The Charges Laid
- Julie Morris: 2 counts of rape, 9 counts of inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, 2 counts of sexual activity in presence of a child, 3 counts of taking indecent images, 1 count of sexual communication with a child, 1 count of possessing indecent images of a child.
- David Morris: 7 counts of rape, 13 counts of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, 2 counts of sexual activity in presence of a child, multiple counts of taking, possessing, and distributing indecent images (categories A, B, and C), 2 counts of sexual communication with a child, 3 counts of voyeurism, possession of extreme pornographic image, and possession of prohibited image of a child.
Justice has been served in this vile case, but the scars on the victim will last a lifetime.
