Windsor Man Jailed Over Cocaine and Heroin Supply
Rahid Iqbal, 24, from Hounslow, has been slammed with a hefty jail term for drug offences in Windsor. He pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, including cocaine and heroin, and possession of a noxious weapon.
Five Years and Four Months Behind Bars
Iqbal was sentenced at Reading Magistrates’ Court on 14 September to five years and four months in prison. The case stems from a police stop on 11 May 2018 in Ward Royal, Windsor, where officers found four mobile phones, cash, and cocaine in his car.
£10,000 in Cash and More Drugs Found at His Home
A subsequent search of Iqbal’s home uncovered more Class A drugs, evidence of drug dealing, £10,000 in cash, and a can of CS spray – a noxious incapacitation device.
Police Crackdown on Drug Supply Rings
“Disrupting drug supply in our communities remains one of our top priorities,” said Detective Constable Kelly Davis of the Maidenhead Priority Crime Team. “Iqbal will now have to spend his sentence reflecting on his actions. Through our Stronghold campaign, we’re committed to tackling serious organised crime and protecting the vulnerable from the scourge of drugs.”
