Sheffield Man Arrested Over London Shooting
A 26-year-old man was arrested in Sheffield on Wednesday, 18 January, on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of ammunition. He is currently being held in London.
Another Suspect Bailed After Firearm Arrest
A separate 25-year-old man, arrested on 28 December for possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, has been bailed while investigations continue.
Early Morning Shooting Sparks Ongoing Probe
The investigation began after the London Ambulance Service alerted police at 6:28am on Tuesday, 27 December about a shooting at West Green Road and Grove Park Road, N15.
Officers and paramedics rushed to the scene but found no injured victims immediately. However, they soon confirmed that a 24-year-old woman had arrived at a north London hospital at 6:50am, without emergency services’ help. She was treated and later released.
Witnesses Urged to Come Forward
Preliminary inquiries suggest the woman was shot shortly before 6:30am near West Green Road. Despite the early hour, many people were nearby as a party was taking place.
Police are desperate to speak with anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious around the time of the shooting. They stress every detail counts in piecing together what happened.
