Faversham Man Charged Over String of Business Burglaries

Liam Scott, 23, from Lower Road, Faversham, has been hit with conspiracy to steal charges. The move comes after a major police probe into a spree of break-ins across Kent.

11 Burglaries and an Attempted Break-In

The Chief Constable’s Crime Squad uncovered a wave of 11 burglaries and one attempted burglary targeting businesses in Whitstable, Faversham, Herne Bay, Aylesham, and Ash. The crimes took place between 9 November 2021 and 21 January 2022.

Court Appearance and Next Steps

Scott appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on 29 March and was remanded in custody. Meanwhile, a 42-year-old man with no fixed address has also been charged as part of the same investigation.

The next court hearing is set for 2 May at Canterbury Crown Court.
