Police Officer Guilty of Voyeurism in Shocking Case

PC Kieran Ball, a Coventry-based officer, was found guilty of voyeurism at Leamington Crown Court yesterday. The verdict comes after a disturbing incident that has rocked the British Transport Police (BTP).

Covert Filming Caught Out

On 10 June 2021, a woman discovered she was being secretly recorded while showering at a residential property. Ball tried to dodge blame, claiming he was just using an iPad for personal reasons. But the jury saw through his story, finding him guilty of covertly filming the victim.

Suspended and Facing Justice

Since the incident was reported, Ball has been suspended from duty. He now faces sentencing on 24 May. Detective Superintendent Peter Fulton, Head of Professional Standards, said:

“When the initial allegations were made, Ball was suspended from duty immediately. Now a jury has found him guilty, we will be acting as quickly as possible to hold an accelerated misconduct hearing. His actions severely undermine the work of the many thousands of honourable police officers and staff who come to work every day to protect and help people. There is no place for him at BTP.”

Zero Tolerance at BTP

The British Transport Police vow to crack down on such behaviour, reaffirming they stand by the integrity of their officers and the public’s trust. PC Ball’s conviction is a stark warning that abuse of power will not be tolerated.
