Paedophile Martin Emery Jailed for 5 Years After Targeting Vulnerable Victim
Monster Convicted After Years of Abuse
Martin Emery was convicted of multiple offences after a sickening spree of assaults on a vulnerable victim between 1997 and 2005. His crimes finally came to light over a decade later, exposing a catalogue of abuse and exploitation.
Arrest and Shocking Discoveries
The horrific ordeal was reported to Kent Police on 18 February 2018. Emery, who lived in Chatham at the time, was arrested that very day. A detailed investigation revealed he had secretly filmed his victim. Police seized a hard drive and USB sticks packed with hundreds of indecent images, uncovering even more offences.
Justice Served: Prison and Order Imposed
On Wednesday 3 May, Emery was sentenced to five years in prison. He was also slapped with a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order, ensuring he is kept away from potential victims in the future.
