Sexual Predator Roy Foster Jailed for 32 Years
Roy Foster, 63, has been sentenced to 32 years behind bars after being found guilty of multiple sexual offences against vulnerable women and children.
Victims Speak Out, Investigation Expands
The case began when a vulnerable woman reported Foster to the police, accusing him of rape and sexual assault. As the investigation unfolded, more victims bravely came forward. Stockton CID, the Complex Exploitation Team, and the Domestic Abuse Unit led the probe, uncovering a disturbing pattern of abuse spanning decades.
Grim List of Charges
- 3 counts of rape
- 2 counts of attempted rape
- 1 count of indecent assault
- 1 count of sexual assault
- 1 count of child abduction with intent to commit a sexual offence
Foster denied all charges during a two-week trial in January but was found guilty of every count on 24th January.
Judge Delivers Heavy Sentence
At Teesside Crown Court on 13th May, the judge handed down a 32-year sentence to Foster, who lived in Low Grange Avenue, Billingham.
“Roy Foster is a dangerous sexual predator who targeted and abused vulnerable females, both adults and children, over the last 40 years,” said Detective Constable James Limon.
“One young victim escaped harm thanks to a quick-thinking member of the public. Without that intervention, further abuse would likely have occurred.”
“I want to commend all the victims for their incredible bravery. It is because of their courage that Foster can no longer hurt anyone, and I hope this brings them some peace to move forward.”
