Boy with Autism Faces Heartbreaking Birthday Snub – Can You Help?
Meet Ben. He’s 10 years old and has high-functioning autism. Despite his challenges, Ben has a heart of gold and just wants one thing: to make friends.
Birthday Party Disaster
Ben’s autism makes socialising tough. He’s often bullied, left out, and endures nasty name-calling at school. The boy never gets invited to birthday parties, sits alone at playtime, and has no one to play with.
Last year, his mum organised a big birthday bash, inviting 25 children. Only two parents RSVPed. Mum hoped more kids would turn up on the day, but none did.
Ben waited eagerly, repeating, “They will come in a minute, won’t they, mum?” But as hours passed, the truth hit hard. The party was a no-show nightmare.
Lasting Emotional Scars
Ben was heartbroken. The experience crushed his self-confidence and worsened his anxiety. It’s a memory that still haunts him.
This year, his mum is desperate to turn things around.
How You Can Brighten Ben’s Day
She’s asking kind-hearted strangers to send Ben a birthday card for his 11th birthday on 15 July 2017. It’s a small gesture that could bring a massive smile to his face and make this birthday unforgettable for all the right reasons.
