NHS Worker Busted for Child Abuse Images After Snapchat Slip-Up
Mansoor Khan, 54, was snared by the National Crime Agency (NCA) after using Snapchat to access horrific indecent images of children (IIOC). The shock arrest happened on 24 August last year, with Khan telling his wife, “I used to have Snapchat” as officers swooped.
Hundreds of Shocking Images Found on Devices
Raid teams searched Khan’s Salisbury home and his office at Salisbury District Hospital. They uncovered 106 vile images spanning categories A to C—category A being the worst—mostly featuring boys aged five to seven. Khan admitted to receiving and viewing these images through a Snapchat contact, claiming it was mere curiosity and that he didn’t intend to promote or store the material.
However, forensic digs revealed Khan lied about many details. He denied searching for phrases like “Top 100 little models” and “young incest,” but his phone told a different story. He also claimed not to have screenshots of the indecent images, yet investigators found three files labelled ‘screenshot’. Khan sourced these from Wickr Me, a secretive messaging app known for encrypted, self-destructing content.
Dark Web and TOR Usage Adds to Case
Khan also used the TOR browser to probe drug information and had a secret folder packed with adult porn on his phone. He denied any connection between these and child abuse content. Nonetheless, Khan was charged with three counts of making and possessing indecent images of children.
Convicted at Salisbury Crown Court—Sentence Due Soon
Following a five-day trial, Khan was found guilty at Salisbury Crown Court on 23 December. He’s set to be sentenced on 24 February 2023. He’s been dismissed by Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust, with bosses confirming his offences don’t involve any patients.

By downloading these images he demonstrated a sexual interest in children and helped fuel the sickening demand for this kind of material. He denied ever taking screenshots, but our investigation proved otherwise. The NCA continues to pursue offenders like Khan, to bring them to justice and protect victims of online child sexual abuse.”
