Man Stabbed in Broadstairs Street Attack

Kent Police were called to Albion Street, opposite Harbour Street junction, at 10.15pm on Thursday 29 September after a man was assaulted. The victim was rushed to a local hospital with a stab wound but has since been discharged.

Suspect Arrested and Charged

Officers from the East Kent Criminal Investigation Department quickly arrested a suspect the same night. A weapon was recovered during the investigation.

Oliver Way, 24, of St Peter’s Court, Broadstairs, has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. He appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 1 October and was remanded in custody. Way is set to face Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 31 October.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Kent Police urge anyone who saw the attack or has CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward. Contact them on 01843 222289 quoting reference 46/189664/22.
