Thug Snatches Hundreds from Woman at ASDA Cash Machine
Police were called to Radford Road, Hyson Green, just after 12:30pm on Saturday 5 August following a shocking robbery.
The victim, a woman in her 60s, was using a cash machine outside ASDA when she was targeted by a thief.
Purse Recovered But £100s Stolen
Although officers later recovered the stolen purse, several hundred pounds were missing.
Suspect Arrested and Released on Bail
A 24-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of robbery. He has since been released on bail as investigations continue.
Detective Vows to Bring Thief to Justice
“This was a horrible crime that has understandably caused a great deal of distress to the victim and her family,” said Detective Sergeant Franco Guddemi of Nottinghamshire Police.
“We are determined to get justice for her, and I am pleased we now have a suspect in custody.”
