Knife-Wielding Thief Busted After Petrol Station Chaos in Ashford

Drama erupted at a petrol station on Beaver Lane, Ashford, on the evening of Thursday 25 March 2021. Officers responded after reports of alcohol theft and threats made against staff.

Man Arrested Over Knife Possession and Public Order Offence

Christopher Leech, 28, from Tupman Close, Rochester, was arrested at the scene. He now faces charges including theft, possession of a knife, and a public order offence.

Court Appearances Scheduled

Leech made a brief appearance at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 27 March. He was granted bail and is set to return to court on Thursday 29 April.
