Teen Stabs Halloween Victim Four Times in Chilling Attack

Liam John Charles Williams, 19, was locked up for stabbing a 16-year-old boy four times on Halloween night 2020. The shocking stabbing happened just after 1.30am on November 1, on Appley Walk.

Verbal Row Turns Deadly

Williams got into a heated argument with the victim and his mates. The spat quickly turned violent. Williams pulled a knife, threatening those around him before stabbing the teen in the chest and abdomen.

Rampage Continues After Attack

After the stabbing, Williams went home but smashed his neighbour’s car windscreen out of anger. He then stormed back out carrying another knife, which he later threw away when stopped by police.

Justice Served: 32 Months Behind Bars

Williams, from Amherst Place, Ryde, admitted to grievous bodily harm, knife possession, and criminal damage at Newport Crown Court. On March 3, 2022, he was sentenced to 32 months in jail.

“The immeasurable harm that knives cause is well documented,” said Detective Constable Mark Thomas. “Williams made the conscious decision to pull out that knife and use it against the boy. He could have killed him.”

“To anyone carrying a knife, or thinking of carrying a knife – don’t do it. One bad decision could seal the fate of yourself and others.”
