Drug Dealer Busted with Cocaine Hidden in Deodorant Bottle
On Thursday 10 June 2021, Tunbridge Wells police nabbed a suspected drug dealer red-handed. Officers from the Community Policing Team stopped a VW Golf in Common View, Rusthall, after spotting suspicious behaviour.
The driver, 21-year-old Ivelina Mladenova, was searched. Cops found 14 wraps of cocaine cleverly stashed inside a deodorant bottle in the driver’s door pocket. They also seized her mobile phone and £40 in cash.
Big Haul Revealed After House Search
Further investigations led officers to an address in Hadlow used by Mladenova. There, they uncovered 30 more cocaine wraps and £570 in cash. The street value of the drugs was estimated at a hefty £1,760.
Dealer Sentenced to 18 Months in Prison
Mladenova, from Foxhall Road, Ipswich, Suffolk, was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to supply and possession of criminal property. She pleaded guilty at Maidstone Crown Court and was jailed for one year and six months on 11 August.
Sergeant Ed Kavanagh said: “We are always alert for those who visit Tunbridge Wells to supply class A drugs and were quick to stop and search this dealer when she arrived in the town. It doesn’t matter where these criminals hide their cocaine, we can generally work out where it is secreted and an arrest is the inevitable result.
She will also be forfeiting the cash we seized. Anybody else who seeks to travel here to make a profit on others’ misery can expect the same response.”
