Chaos Ends at Southborough Home After Police Shut It Down

Kent Police have shut down a trouble hotspot in Southborough after repeat complaints from fed-up residents.

Noise, Nuisance and Crime Prompt Closure

Officers were repeatedly called to a property on Kibbles Lane due to persistent nuisance behaviour, loud noise, substance misuse, and criminal damage. Locals had enough and raised serious concerns.

Three-Month Closure Order Enforced

After investigations led by Police Constable Liz Simpson, Kent Police applied for a three-month closure order at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court. The result? No one except the landlord can enter the property for the next 90 days or face heavy fines and even prison.

A stark warning sign now hangs on the front door, making it crystal clear: entry is a criminal offence.

Police Crackdown Offers Local Relief

“Anti-social behaviour is committed by a small minority but can ruin a whole community’s quality of life,” said Sergeant Ian Loader of the Community Safety Unit. “Residents shouldn’t have to suffer in silence. We’re pleased to have worked with the landlord and court to secure this order.”

Local communities now breathe easier knowing the source of chaos is off limits – for good, or at least for now.
