Tragic Crash in High Street: Baby Killed After BMW Hits Pram
Horrific Collision on High Street
A BMW smashed into another car on High Street before hitting a pram at around 4pm. The baby inside suffered fatal injuries despite urgent hospital treatment.
Family in Shock as Baby Dies
The infant was pushed along the pavement by relatives at the time of the crash. A family member suffered a shoulder injury but escaped serious harm. The driver fled the scene but was caught in Bloxwich shortly afterward.
Suspect Arrested, Investigation Underway
The 34-year-old man is in custody, facing questioning on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Police have shut part of High Street for a thorough collision probe, expected to block the area all evening.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
“A baby has tragically died and we’ll be doing all we can to support his family during this deeply devastating time,” said Sergeant Mark Crozier.
“We’re speaking to witnesses and piecing together the collision. Anyone with dash cam footage or information is urged to come forward. Please don’t speculate on what happened.”
