Homeless Woman Jailed for Home Invasion Robbery

Jasmine Junor, 29, with no fixed address, has been sentenced to four years and four months in prison after pleading guilty to robbery at Reading Crown Court.

Terrifying Midnight Break-In in Bracknell

Just after midnight on April 19, the victim was at home in Crowthorne Road, Bracknell, when she heard banging on her window.

Assuming it was a neighbour, she opened the front door – only for Junor to shove her aside and force her way inside, trapping the victim between the door and hallway wall.

The victim tried to block her entry, but Junor pushed through again, knocking the victim’s arm against a doorframe.

Threats and Theft Inside Victim’s Home

Once inside, Junor acted erratically, claiming she needed money because she was homeless. She then threatened to stab the victim if she didn’t hand over cash, brandishing something shiny in her hand.

Junor grabbed the victim’s handbag, emptying it and stealing £85 in cash.

The victim stood her ground, waving her walking stick at Junor and telling her to leave – and thankfully, she did.

Police Praise Victim’s Bravery

The victim escaped without injury and later identified Junor in an ID parade.

“This was an upsetting and traumatic experience for the victim, who should have been safe inside her own home,” said Detective Constable Tracey McQueen from the Priority Crime Team at Loddon Valley police station.

“She showed tremendous courage confronting Junor, helping us bring her to justice. Junor has pleaded guilty and been rightly given a lengthy prison sentence for this shocking incident.”

“I would also like to thank witnesses and members of the public for their support.”
