Pendle Drive Stabbing Shocker: Woman Jailed After Brutal Attack on Man
Ami-brie Dornan, 37, plunged a knife into a man in his 50s after a fiery row at their home in Basildon’s Pendle Drive. The violent episode erupted late on 22 August last year after they left a nearby pub around 11pm.

Back at their residence, tempers flared. Dornan stabbed the victim multiple times—three times in the shoulder, once under his left arm, and once on the arm itself. The man was rushed to hospital with serious wounds.

Dornan was arrested on the spot. Last month, she pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm with intent. On 7 January, she was locked up for four and a half years.
“This was a vicious attack which followed a domestic dispute,” said Detective Constable Charlotte Colmans. “Ami-brie Dornan stabbed the victim multiple times and he is fortunate his injuries were not more serious. It is shocking that she resorted to such extreme violence and I hope she uses her time in prison to reflect on the consequences of her actions.”
