Sex fiend Afghan asylum seeker admits to groping three women in Southampton
Multiple Attacks Terrorise Southampton Streets
Sohail Amiri, a 30-year-old Afghan asylum seeker living in Highfield Lane, Southampton, has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting three women over two months. The creep exposed victims to unwanted advances in public, late at night.
Between September 23 and November 25, Amiri targeted women walking alone, attempting to kiss them without consent. Luckily, all three women fought him off and escaped unharmed.
Illegal Entry and Court Drama
Amiri also admitted sneaking into the UK illegally in October 2023. Despite contesting one charge, he accepted guilt for all others during his hearing at Southampton Crown Court. A Pashto interpreter was used throughout.
Judge Nicholas Rowland didn’t hold back, warning: “You must expect a prison sentence of some length.” Sentencing was pushed to February 6, with Amiri locked up awaiting the outcome.
Local Outrage and Immigration Fears
Amiri was housed at the Highfield House Hotel in Portswood, a known flashpoint for anti-immigration protests. Locals are furious and alarmed at how asylum seekers like Amiri are being monitored – or not.
The assaults have sent shockwaves through Southampton, sparking fears for women’s safety after dark. Police confirmed the latest assault took place just past midnight on November 25 on Upper Shaftesbury Avenue when Amiri tried to force a kiss on a woman who bravely fought back.
