Man Brutally Attacked in St Ann’s – Suspect Charged
Emergency services rushed to Bath Street in St Ann’s after reports of a man being seriously assaulted. Paramedics found the 47-year-old unconscious with severe injuries and rushed him to hospital.
Victim Suffers Broken Jaw and Facial Injuries
The attack, which took place on July 18, 2022, left the victim with a broken jaw and multiple facial wounds. He briefly lost consciousness due to the severity of the assault.
Adrian Gilbert Held on Grievous Bodily Harm Charges
After a thorough investigation, police charged Adrian Gilbert, 32, with causing grievous bodily harm with intent. Gilbert, from Windmill Lane, Sneinton, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, July 23, where he was remanded in custody.
He is due to face Nottingham Crown Court again on August 22, 2022.
Police Vow Tough Action on Violence
“The victim suffered serious facial injuries and lost consciousness following the attack,” said Detective James Hirst of Nottinghamshire Police. “Such violence won’t be tolerated. We always respond swiftly and firmly to these incidents.”
“We welcome the charge against the suspect and that court proceedings are underway.”
