Toddler Falls from Eighth-Floor Flat – Two Women Arrested
A two-year-old boy plummeted from an eighth-floor window in Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey, leaving neighbours horrified. Miraculously, the tot survived but was seriously injured. Two women, aged 24 and 30, have since been arrested on suspicion of child neglect.
Heart-Stopping Rescue and Critical Condition
The terrifying incident unfolded on Tuesday afternoon in Spelthorne Grove. A neighbour on her balcony heard the child’s cries and spotted him lying motionless on the ground. “The boy was blue,” she recalled, rushing to call ambulance and police.
Emergency teams arrived quickly. Paramedics treated the boy at the scene before he was airlifted to a London hospital. Police confirm his condition as critical but stable.
Police Investigate as Women Released on Bail
A Surrey Police spokesman said both women from Sudbury were interviewed and released on bail pending further inquiries. They are suspected of neglect resulting in the terrible fall.
“Both women have been interviewed and released on police bail while investigations continue,” a police spokesperson said.
Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service responded swiftly to the 3.50pm emergency call, but questions remain on how the toddler got so close to the open window.

The local community is shaken by the incident that could have easily turned fatal. Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward as investigations carry on.
