Quick-Thinking Door Staff Nab Knife-Wielding Man in Andover Pub

A man carrying a knife in his waistband was caught red-handed thanks to sharp-eyed door staff at an Andover pub. Hamza Hashi, 18, from East London, was spotted with the weapon tucked in his back pocket before he could cause any trouble.

Arrest Made at John Russell Fox Pub

The drama unfolded at 10.50pm on Friday evening at the John Russell Fox in Andover. Security staff swiftly restrained Hashi, preventing any potential threat. Police were called to the scene immediately.

Charges: Knife and Drugs Possession

Hamza Hashi, of Wallwood Street, East London, has since been charged with possession of a knife in a public place. Hampshire Constabulary also confirmed he faces charges for possession of a class B drug.

“A man has been charged in connection with an incident at the John Russell Fox pub in Andover,” said a Hampshire Police spokesman. “We were called to the pub at 10.50pm on Friday where it is alleged a man entered the premises with a knife in his back pocket.”
