Employee Swipes Over £4,000 in Quick Succession

Amber Sellens, 23, from New Road, Aylesford, has been handed a court order after admitting to stealing thousands from her employer in Sevenoaks.

Shock Theft Spree Over Five Days

Sellens pleaded guilty at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on 10 January 2022 to multiple counts of theft by employee:

  • £1,000 stolen on 26 February 2021
  • £1,079 stolen on 1 March 2021
  • £681 stolen on 2 March 2021
  • £894 stolen on 3 March 2021
  • £937 stolen on 5 March 2021

Her total haul exceeded £4,500 within just over a week.

Payback and Punishment

The court ordered Sellens to complete 180 hours of unpaid work within 12 months. She must also pay £1,890 in compensation to her victim, plus a £95 surcharge and £85 in costs.
