Shock in Mistelbach: Couple Found Stabbed in Basement
A horrifying double stabbing has rocked the small town of Mistelbach, near Bayreuth. The bodies of a 47-year-old woman and her 51-year-old husband were discovered in their basement, both victims of multiple stab wounds.
Four Kids Left Traumatised
The couple lived in the house with their four children, all under 18. Neighbours reported hearing cries for help just after midnight on Sunday, sparking a frantic police response.
Authorities confirm the children were home during the attack, but it’s unclear how much they witnessed. The youngsters have been questioned and are now in the care of local youth services.
Teen Suspect in Custody but Questions Remain
An 18-year-old male, not related to the family, turned himself in at around 4am after a massive manhunt. He had been a guest at the home and spent the night there. Police say his motive and connection to the family remain unclear.
The suspect will face an investigating judge on Monday as the probe continues to unravel the chilling case.
