Woman Jailed for Brutal Years-Long Assaults on Husband

‘Worst Case of Coercive Behaviour’ Says Judge
Judge Kate Rayfield did not hold back, describing the case as “the worst case of controlling and coercive behaviour I have seen.” She also imposed an indefinite restraining order on Spencer to protect her victim.

Police Praise Victim’s Courage, Offer Hope to Others
PC Adele Jenkinson said: “I want to acknowledge Mr Spencer’s incredible strength, courage and patience throughout this investigation. I hope this sentence gives him and his family some closure to move forward towards a happier future.”
“Sheree Spencer’s abuse was long-lasting and severe, often involving multiple attacks in a single day. This verdict sends a clear message: domestic abuse will be taken seriously, and justice will be served.”
