Jogger Bitten by Dog on Aunt Betsy’s Hill in Broad Daylight

A woman out jogging with a child on a bike had a nasty surprise when a dog bit her arm on a popular track off Dering Road known as Aunt Betsy’s Hill.

The victim was running alongside a child on a bicycle at around 8.45am on Sunday, 9 January 2022, when a brown and white spaniel suddenly jumped up and bit her.

Victim Injured, Police Launch Hunt for Dog Owner

The bite caused an injury serious enough to require medical treatment. The dog was described as a spaniel with brown and white fur. The owner is thought to be a woman around 70 years old, about 5’7″ tall, wearing a coat and hat, walking the dog on a lead.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
