Jogger Bitten by Dog on Aunt Betsy’s Hill

A woman out jogging with a child on a bike was bitten by a dog on a popular local path. The attack happened at around 8:45am on Sunday, 9 January 2022, on a track off Dering Road known as Aunt Betsy’s Hill.

Spaniel Bites Jogger on Arm

As the jogger passed a woman walking her dog on a lead, the brown and white spaniel suddenly leapt up and bit the jogger on her arm. The injury needed medical treatment.

Police Hunt Dog Owner and Witnesses

  • The dog owner is described as a woman around 70 years old, roughly 5ft 7in tall, wearing a coat and hat.
  • Kent Police want to speak to her and anyone who witnessed the incident.

“We are urging anyone who saw the bite to come forward and help with our enquiries,” said officers.
