Jogger Bitten by Spaniel on Aunt Betsy’s Hill

A woman out jogging with a child on a bike was bitten by a dog on a track off Dering Road known as Aunt Betsy’s Hill. The dog, a brown and white spaniel, jumped and bit her on the arm as she passed the woman walking it on a lead.

Early Sunday Morning Attack

The bite happened at around 8.45am on Sunday, 9 January 2022. The victim suffered an injury that needed medical treatment.

Police Hunt Spaniel Owner

The dog’s owner is described as around 70 years old, about 5ft 7in tall, wearing a coat and hat. Officers want to speak to her and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
