Kent Police are hunting witnesses after joyriders caused huge damage at Gore Court Cricket Club in Sittingbourne. The shocking attack happened around 10pm on Monday, 28 April 2025.

Quad Bikers Trash Cricket Field in Midnight Rampage

A gang on quad bikes and electric bikes ripped across four cricket pitches at The Grove, deliberately smashing up the grounds. Police believe the troublemakers entered from the Key Street area before speeding off towards Andrews Walk.

Kent Police Launch Full Investigation, Seek CCTV Footage

Officers rushed to the scene and launched a probe, with forensic teams combing for clues. Now cops want anyone with CCTV, doorbell camera, or dashcam footage that might show the vandals or their route to step forward immediately.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “We take incidents of criminal damage seriously, especially when they affect valued community facilities such as sports clubs. We urge anyone who saw the vehicles in the area or has footage to come forward.”
