Violent Road Rage: Woman Attacked After Car Crash in Portsmouth
Hampshire police are hunting witnesses after a nasty assault broke out following a car collision on Anglesea Road. The incident happened at 9.35am on Monday, January 2, near the junction heading towards Gunwharf Quay.
Crash Sparks Chaos
A black VW Passat and a black Ford C-Max collided. The driver and passenger of the Passat – a man and woman – stormed out of their car to confront the Ford’s occupants. Things quickly turned ugly.
Woman Dragged to Ground
The woman from the VW Passat, with partial plate KO06, allegedly attacked a 24-year-old female passenger from the Ford. The victim, travelling with her husband and two children aged 1, was pulled to the ground by her hair. She suffered neck injuries and bruising and was treated at Queen Alexandra Hospital.
Suspect on the Run
- White woman, early 40s
- Short stature, about 5ft 4in
- Blonde, shoulder-length hair
- Chubby build
- Wearing jeans and a pink hoodie, described as scruffy
Police urge anyone with information to come forward immediately and help catch this scruffy attacker.
