Community Reassured as Cordon Lifts

  • Police taped off the area, blocking residents from entering or leaving Mountbatten Court during the standoff.
  • By late Thursday, some cordons were lifted and police scaled down their presence from 13 vehicles.
  • Officers assured the public that no wider risk to the community currently exists.

Hampshire police said: “We want to thank the community for their patience as we dealt with this incident.”
