Man Arrested for Rape Near Maidenhead Basketball Court
A man has been arrested on suspicion of raping a man in his twenties near a basketball court in Grenfell Park, Maidenhead. The victim reported the attack to a member of the public at around 3.30am on June 1.
Suspect in Custody as Police Hunt Witnesses
The 20-year-old suspect from Maidenhead was taken into custody the same day. Detective Chief Inspector Penny Mackenzie said: “Although an arrest has been made, we are appealing for any witnesses to come forward about this incident.”
The offender is described as white, about 5ft 8ins tall, with short brown hair, possibly in his early twenties. The police have stressed the severity of the crime and confirmed the investigation is ongoing.
