Man Assaulted in Rochester: Police Hunt for Witnesses

Attack on Duncan Road Victim

A man in his 20s was attacked near the junction of Duncan Road and Trafalgar Street in Rochester at around 11pm on Sunday, 23 January 2022. The assailant, described as a white male, caused serious injuries to the victim’s right leg.

The victim was rushed to a local hospital for treatment of his wounds.

Suspect Arrested and Released on Bail

Police arrested a 32-year-old man from Rochester the same night on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He was later released on bail pending further investigations. The bail period runs until Thursday, 17 February.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Officers have interviewed several witnesses and gathered CCTV footage. However, they believe more people saw the attack and have yet to speak to police.
