Shock Canterbury Stabbing: Man Charged with Attempted Murder
Kent Police have charged two men following a vicious assault in Canterbury. Ilir Deskaj, 38, faces attempted murder over a stabbing on the night of April 30.
Stabbing Horror in Hever Place
The attack happened around 11pm when a man inside a car was stabbed and rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Deskaj was also slapped with a charge of carrying a knife in public.
Brother Faces Charges Over Cover-Up
Ilir appeared via video link at Medway Magistrates’ Court on May 1 and was remanded in custody. His trial is set for Maidstone Crown Court on May 30. Meanwhile, his 20-year-old brother Benjamin Deskaj, also of Frencham Close, was charged with perverting the course of justice. Benjamin has been released on bail and must attend Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on May 22.
