Drug Dealer Locked Up for Three Years After Terrorising Regency Area

Regency’s Heroin and Crack Kingpin Busted

A 41-year-old man with no fixed address has been slammed with a three-year jail sentence after flooding Brighton’s Regency area with Class A drugs. Muhammad Ahmed pleaded guilty to supplying heroin and crack cocaine, possessing Class A substances, and carrying an offensive weapon in public.

Police Crack Down After Neighbourhood Gripped by Crime

The crackdown started on May 10 when officers swooped following reports of rampant drug dealing in Regency. Ahmed was arrested and faced Brighton Magistrates’ Court on September 20, where he was denied bail pending trial.

Judge Sends Clear Message at Hove Crown Court

Ahmed appeared at Lewes Crown Court on November 1 and admitted all charges, revealing the scale of his criminal reach that spread fear and anti-social behaviour across the community. On January 20, Hove Crown Court delivered a tough sentence, throwing Ahmed behind bars for three years.

Police Welcome Win for Local Residents

“Muhammad Ahmed’s sentencing marks an important step in addressing the disruption and fear he caused in the Regency area,” said Detective Constable Gavin Harper. “His actions contributed to rising anti-social behaviour and left residents feeling unsafe. This kind of behaviour is completely unacceptable.”

The ruling is hailed as a major victory for law enforcement battling drug-fuelled crime and disorder in Brighton’s streets.
